High Quality Replacement Rear Leaf Spring For Nova And Chevy II High Alloy Spring Steel Non Original Three Leaf Design Requires Modification To Spring Perch Spring Rate 126lb Sold Individually, Two Required Per Vehicle Shot Peened For Durability Made In USA Replacing sagging original leaf springs is the best way to restore your 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966 or 1967 Nova or Chevy II's look and performance. The leaf springs support the weight of your car, transfer driving and braking forces between the axle and frame and help keep wheel cast and camber in check. These hardened alloy steel springs are designed for standard duty use and provide a stock ride height. The upgraded style multileaf three leaf spring has a 126 pound spring rate, meaning it would take 126 pounds of pressure to move the spring one inch. Remember, the lower the spring rate, the softer the ride. NOTE: All bolts at the spring mounting points should be left finger tight until all the weight of the car is put on the springs (i.e. rear end supported by jack stands). Then, proper torque should be applied to all points (torque specs available in the factory assembly manual). Failure to follow this procedure could result in one side of the car sitting lower than the other. Also, installing springs in a car under restoration can result in the body sitting 4-6 off of the rear tires. This should settle when items such as the interior and fuel tank are installed. If you are still having installation issues after double checking your installation, please call Technical Services for additional support.
