'66 Vette owner sets out to seek Shuster
By Claudio D'Andrea
The owner of a beautiful red 1966 Corvette recently went on a paper trail to confirm hands behind the remodelling of his classic automobile.
Writing in Corvette Forum, the car owner who goes by Rogers AR posted several photos of the Vette just before Christmas. He wrote: "I recently purchased a 1966 corvette. On some paperwork in the car was a name Paul Shuster. A former NCRS judge and corvette resto guy."
He was apparently referring to the Ohio-based owner of Paul Shuster Showcars. Shuster was known for doing quality restorations in the National Car Restorers Society.
Through the forum, the new owner said he was able to connect with Shuster who had more information about the car.
The NCRS calls itself a "community of dedicated Corvette lovers. Our objective is the restoration, preservation, history and enjoyment of all Corvette models and configurations." It was established in 1974 and celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
The NCRS says it caters to all Corvette enthusiasts and provides accurate information about the models that were manufactured from 1953 to 2007.
