This kit helps to eliminate driveline vibrations, and is used to make certain the flywheel is correctly seated on the crankshaft, & ths housing is correctly shimmed as well.
Screw the threaded support rod into any flywheel housing bolt hole & lock it in place. Position the top bar over the flywheel's edge & lock it in place. While rotating the flywheel, set the adjusting carriage bolt head so that it barely touches the top of the flywheel & lock it in place. Rotate the flywheel 360º. Using a feeler gauge, measure the gap between the indicator bolt head & the flywheel top surface. If there is more than .005" there is too much.
