- An Inexpensive Solution To A Common Problem
- Includes Rubber Ring, Bolts, Lockwashers, And Nuts
Between the steering column shaft and the steering box is a reinforced rubber ring commonly known as a rag joint. The more proper name is steering coupler. They keep the chassis vibration from transferring through the steering column to the steering wheel. If your T-Bird is giving you a hand massage, or there is play in the steering, take a look at your rag joint. Age, oil, and heat all cause them to break down.
