"Super" Converters feature 26% more frontal area than the stock converter, which will give you a performance increase. But if your Corvette has a partially plugged converter, you'll feel a big difference in performance. You'll also see your gas mileage go back up to normal levels. Before purchasing these converters, please be aware the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has set forth these guidelines for installing aftermarket converters: 1) Your car is missing a converter, 2) A state or local inspection has determined your existing converter needs replacement, or 3) Your Corvette is more than 5 years old or has more than 50,000 miles and a legitimate need for replacement has been established and documented.
