Allows You To Run A 4-Barrel Carburetor On The Fuel Injected LS Or Vortec Engines Dual Pattern Carburetor Flange For Square Or Spread Bore Uses Factory Sensors & Coils (Not Included) Works With Pre-2006 24X Crank Sensor Engines Only Solid State Electronics So, you have a carbureted small block and you keep seeing other Chevys making great great power with less cubic inches using the 1999-2005 LS engines. Here is your chance to use a late model (1999-2005) GM Vortec or 1997-2004 LS engine in your classic without all the computer and fuel injection junk. This kit, developed by MSD & Edelbrock, will let you use any Vortec 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, or the 5.7 LS1 or LS6 (1997-2004). The smaller 4.8 & 5.3 are plentiful and very affordable in salvage yards due to the complexity of the computer and wiring. All you need with this kit is a carburetor, the factory sensors and coil packs and the engine from the donor vehicle. The Edelbrock/MSD ignition controller plugs into the factory sensors and coil packs and handles all computer tasks, while the carburetor handles the fuel. The controller comes with 6 pre-set spark curves which will let you run whatever octane fuel you desire. Brackets are included to mount GM accelerator cables and TH350 & 700R4 Detent/Kickdown Cables.
