Corvette Club of Nova Scotia
Boasting a rich shipping history and home province of the Royal Canadian Navy’s largest base, Nova Scotia has a population that would see a Corvette as a valiant fighting ship. Aside from the historical actions in the sea, the Corvette’s presence is supported on land by the Corvette Club of Nova Scotia.
Founded in 1974, the Corvette Club of Nova Scotia (CCNS) had 129 members with 148 cars as of October of 2021. Corvettes dating back to the 1966 Sting Ray are accompanied by examples spanning up to the current year. Past president of the organization Ivan Hines describes the richness of the maritime community centered on the Corvette as “A group of random people who thru the common love of this automobile become great friends who look forward to the next show or event just to get together and share stories”. The CCNS’s biggest gathering is a weekend event held during every July that draws Corvette fans in Nova Scotia, across Canada as well as friends from the United States.
