Tower clamps like this were used on Chevelle from the factory and being cold galvanized they were very susceptible to rust and corrosion.
Tip: Use a crescent type wrench at the square nut to hold it so it and the clamp do not twist when tightening. Then after a few heat cycles repeat. Also, if the bent tabs that are on the clamp are crooked, you may have to straighten them out. You may have to reinstall these clamps multiple times until you get a good fitment. Also, the GM AIM makes not of using a sealer inside the heater hoses when using Tower Clamps. You can run a bead of Permatex inside the hose.
