Your 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, or 1972 Camaro's master cylinder is a control device which converts non hydraulic pressure into hydraulic pressure. Hydraulic pressure is what regulates the flow of brake fluid to each wheel cylinder. If your master cylinder isn't producing enough pressure your brakes may fail. Play it safe. Make sure your master cylinder is in good working order. If it isn't, install a new one.
