When your search for collector car tires calls for narrower whitewall tires from the sixties, Coker Tire Company has you covered with excellent period-correct bias ply tires. These premium BFGoodrich Bias Ply Pie Crust tires feature a genuine narrow whitewall design. The authentic tread design and sidewall markings instantly transport you and your car back to the golden age of freeway motoring (and when gas was cheap!) These beautiful pie crust tires are available in several sizes and are outstanding fitments for many 1960s model automobiles.
This product features a genuine narrow whitewall sidewall style. This means that the bright white rubber is added directly to the tire sidewall during initial construction of the carcass, resulting in a truly integrated, high-quality product after vulcanization. When we reference "narrow whitewall" tires, we typically mean a whitewall that measures less than two inches, but it can also mean a whitewall that does not reach all the way into the bead. Narrow whitewall tires are popular for many cars built in 1960's all the way into the 1990's.
Bias ply tire construction is a method that was used from the 1900's through the 1970's on passenger cars and light trucks. Bias ply tires feature ply cords that run at a 45 degree angle to the bead, and overlap in a crisscross pattern, depending on how many ply layers are used. This creates a strong tire, but bias ply tires have a tendency to follow breaks or ruts in the pavement. Bias ply tires are the most authentic choice for classic car restorations and traditional hot rod builds. Coker Tire offers a huge variety of bias ply tires for many applications.

BFGoodrich, founded by Dr. Benjamin Franklin Goodrich in 1870 in Akron, Ohio, was among the first rubber tire manufacturers in the United States. Initially producing rubberized hoses and belts, the company expanded into pneumatic bicycle tires and, by 1896, became the first U.S. manufacturer of pneumatic automobile tires.
Throughout its history, BFGoodrich has been at the forefront of tire innovation. In 1947, it introduced the first tubeless tire in the U.S., enhancing vehicle performance and safety. By 1965, the company produced the nation's first radial tires, offering longer tread life and improved ride comfort. BFGoodrich also developed an early version of the run-flat tire in 1967, allowing vehicles to continue driving despite a puncture.
The brand's commitment to performance is evident in its motorsport achievements. BFGoodrich tires have been used in various competitions, including the Indianapolis 500, Baja 1000, and Paris-Dakar Rally, securing numerous victories and solidifying its reputation in the racing community.
