ACDelco GM Original Equipment Engine Coolant Level Switches are switches that signal when your engine cooling system is low on coolant, and are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicle's original components. These switches or sensors operate by either a float type switch, or by monitoring the electrical resistance between two metal probes that are immersed in the coolant. When the probes are no longer in contact with the liquid coolant, the electrical resistance across the probes increases. This increase in electrical resistance signals the engine coolant level module to turn on the low coolant level warning lamp. These original equipment engine coolant level switches have been manufactured to fit your specific GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.
